Originally from Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Donna holds a BA in English with an Honor’s Concentration in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan, and both an MA and MFA from American University. Donna is a recipient of a Raymond Carver Short Story Award, a Seventeen fiction prize, and a Stanford photography award. She is an alumna of the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and Sirenland. Her stories and poems have appeared in Carve Magazine, The Malibu Times, Metropolitan Woman, the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council sponsored poetry anthology, and elsewhere. Her recent short stories are upcoming in Flash Fiction Magazine and Hawaii Pacific Review.

Donna spent two years as a visiting scholar in Thailand’s Golden Triangle where she taught at universities and in local villages. She currently serves as Associate Director of Programs for Executive Education at the Stanford Graduate School of Business where she facilitates programs for senior-level executives of global enterprises, allowing them to achieve the best intersection of creativity, innovation, leadership, and technology in their organizations. She lives in Palo Alto.
